Since 2019, Glasgow
The label
Three people, one room above a bike shop and a cupboard full of records. That is the whole company.

How it started
Runout began in 2019 because a friend's band had a finished record and nobody to put it out. We borrowed money for 300 copies, folded the sleeves ourselves and sold them at the shows.
We still work the same way. Every release is pressed in a small run, every sleeve is made with the artist, and every record is one we would buy ourselves.
Our promises
01
Masters stay yours
Artists own their recordings. We license them for a set time, then they come home.
02
Fifty fifty
After costs, every penny is split down the middle, and we show the numbers every quarter.
03
Small runs
We press what will sell, then press again. No warehouse of unsold vinyl.
04
We answer
Every demo gets a reply, even when it is a no. It just might take a few weeks.
